Re: Replacing seals in transmissions / 1989 32 Sedan

She is pretty stripped presently. Give me few days to sort out minor issues and will post engine rpm/speed...

Re: New member with questions, Sedan 32
ED, Hell,I'm the "young guy" at 58 and I use my boat solo all the time. My wife has the ski boat to handle herself. We are on a large TN lake and hardly deal with the weather most see. The wind is always a concern. I also have a new Westerbeke 6 KW gen set that cost me more than the boat i...
Re: No Fire
I run the DUI (Davis Unified Ignition) in my boat on small blocks. The big distributor fits fine. On my 70 Fury street car, 383 I run the other style with a module and remote coil so it fits against the valve cover. Starts are simple and have been very reliable over the years. May need to make sure ...
Re: No Fire
Jeff is correct, as always. Try a wire from the battery straight to the coil ( JUST A TEMP JUMPER). Make sure no fumes etc as Busia has mentioned. This will give a good spark, then get the solenoid replaced as Jeff mentioned. Then remove said jumper wire.

Re: Shorepower, transfer switch & genny
John, glad you found part of the issue. Those gremlins are the worst . Took me 2 months to figure one out and wound up rewiring the entire panel as you mentioned. I had to add a separate selection switch for each feed and checked each common and ground wire with an elec meter when I put it back toget...

Re: Understanding the CAPAC
I believe Jeff may have made one of these and posted. It was, as I recall, a very simple setup that you dropped overboard and got a quick reading on a voltmeter. It is not good, however, to use as troll bait for rockfish. Busia, explains it again. An electric meter set on millivolts , positive lead...

Re: knowledge and advice sought on Seacrest houseboat performance/capability
Carl Pegel is Sorry Dog Send him a message on FB he usually replies in ALL CAPS due to, as I hate say, age.(very shaky hands) His boat was a cat for the record. I"ve been on a few Houseboat models they run good for what they are , but they are not a cruiser by any means. Still great boats, just...
