Don't remember which ones were used on the 80's M's, did it have the special key to open it? O===O like this? If you google Perko or Atwood gas caps, they have plenty to choose from, available from many different sources, heck even Walmart sells 'em

Bill may be correct on model year being a factor, but on my '75, the two helms are completely separate, isolated systems. I would think that that would be a USCG requirement. Well, you need to ask yourself a few questions first, which will require a handheld tach. Are both engines actually running at the same speed when you observe the 400 rpm difference? Does this difference occur at idle, or cruising speed? Is one tach behaving erratically (needle bouncing)? A simple h...
