Re: FB enclosure
Do you (or anyone) happen to know if this would fit the FB of a 32' or is the FB sizing of the 2 boats that much different?

Re: Capac component replacement
Thanks guys! Guess it'll boil down to practicality (make/use a homemade unit) vs esthetics/function of a standard unit (which, when the time comes, may play into the sale of the boat (and the inevitable notation by a surveyor of the absence of the cathode to a possible buyer)).

Capac component replacement
When I pulled the boat this fall, I found the disk on the Capac meter is missing! (ie the outside 'cover' of the thru hull unit). Can this be repaired or is a replacement of the entire thru hull unit recommended/required?
Thx,
Bill

Re: Waste port on deck is stuck.
Your use of PB Blaster is q good start. Hope the cap wasn't cross threaded when last inserted nor mechanically tightened down. If unable to free after PB applied, you could try radid tapping with a ball peen hammer on the cap while applying force on key. The vibration may provide enough leverage to ...

Re: Boat Fires
Electrical fires seem to be the biggest "bugga boo". With tons of connections to go thru, has anyone come up with a recurring secific list on a "x" year rotation? While ideal to chech every connection for looseness or corrosion, it's unlikely to be be completed in a single season...

Re: Marine Air
I replaced the old Cruiseaire unit with a 16k Marinaire (yep, it's spelled "Marinaire - diff co from Marineaire). I needed to fabricate a plenum to replace the original unit's plenum. A wireless module is mounted above the sink and remote control sits in its holder on the side of the lower cons...

Re: Which epoxy?
I can recommend PC-11. I used it several years ago when I painted the bottom of the boat. Jeff had recommended, and I second it, to first apply a first coat of 2 part epoxy paint to the bare hull immediately after taking the hull down to bare metal. I then applied the PC-11 to the 1st epoxy paint co...

318 oil pressure fluctuation
Port engine oil pressure has been rock solid this season until the last couple of times we've taken her out. At low / mid RPM (up to say, 1900 - 2000 RPM) the pressure stays steady at about 60+ PSI. The 2nd last trip out I pushed the engines some (about 2400 - 2600 RPM and noticed the port engine's ...

Re: Wisconsin 39 on Ebay
Listing sold for 12,100. I was going to bid but the early bidders ran the amount out of my price range. :-( Other than driving the price up and pushing folks out of the bidding, I have never understood early bidders. It's a guarantee that their bid will be overbid. Sometimes I wonder if it's not a c...
