Re: Repower question:: Maestro?
@28mph? How fast do you want to go? What's the HP of the 318? 225? I would think that the extra lbs of a big block and the expense of changing everything wouldn't be made up in performance. What about your prop? Could you get more top end with a different prop? Maybe add some HP with aftermarket per...

Re: Leaving Boat In Water All Winter In Huron, Ohio
As for protecting the hull, there really isn't anything to protect it from. It will be in the water. The marina bubbles occasionally when needed. They have about 10 boats that stay in the water and 6 are live aboards year round. I plan on running the on board heaters and maybe getting a small diesel...

Leaving Boat In Water All Winter In Huron, Ohio
So I'm seriously considering leaving my boat in all winter in Huron, Ohio. I'm not worried about it freezing or being damaged from the water in the marina freezing at all. Just wondering if anybody else has done this up in this area and what their experience was. Basically it will be like having a ...

Re: seam caulking
You can caulk some serious wide gaps with 5200. Even if you had to put some sort of packing material in the gap. But a 1/4 gap would be no prob for 5200 or 4200 alone. Remember it's basically liquid rubber. People use it to make gaskets and othe rubber-y items as well. It's not that big of a deal to...

Yes Bill, I vouch for these guys too. Bruce is great and Chris Hamonn too. Chrysler and other engines including diesels. In Port Clinton, Ohio if it makes a diff. Great place.

Re: Stalling near dock
To me 680rpm seems too low for idle AND manuvering.. Especially if you are stalling when switching from FWD to REV.. Seems to me my rpm I would set at 750-800 while manuvering through the marina.. There are two different idle adjusting screws on your carbs. One is for low idle if I remember correctl...

Loves me some Summit Racing. Akron proud, baby. I'm lucky enough to be within a half hour of the headquarters/retail store.
