Re: Hydraulic Steering
I totally agree with your recommendation. I just recently converted mine to Sea-star hydraulic and really wish I would done it years ago. Five turns of the wheel from stop to stop with your finger tips. I used a 8.3 cubic inch actuating cylinder which will allow me to use garmin's cheapest autopilot...

Re: Tranmission
Be very careful about allowing the prop shafts to be turning without water being on those cutlass bearings as it will very quickly ruin those bearings, if you can feel any up and down movement of the shafts at the props the cutlass bearings are already shot.

Re: exterior flooring suggestions needed

I used aluminum angle stock on the ...

Thanks Ed and I have no clue as to how to post a photo, but I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures you posted of some shrimp you caught a couple years ago. Harry

Re: 1985 M 39 DC gas tank selector
More than likely different resistance in the port and starboard supply lines resulted in the one side being favored. Now you have to find out why. There"s been lots of posts on here about cleaning the tanks and anti-siphon valves and servicing the water separators.
