Re: Hatch Gasket Material
Can't help with the gasket part but can- a bit - with the other. Interior condensation is a problem, I am guessing, with most hatches. Broiling hot sun on the outside, cooler air on the inside = condensation. Then, reverse at night. I had drops on my head or wet covers in the bunk until I came up wi...

Re: 318 Stuck Valve
I am not a motorhead as my boating pals (Hi Jeff) will tell you. But I have read enough to suggest it is probably a mistake to go with an auto 318 because the marine ones are ..well, marinized. I do not think that is advertising malarkey. I think there are important differences and a call to a coupl...

Re: Diagnosing a LM318......
Suspecting OP is very careful about these things but when I hear stumbling at low rpm's I always look back at my experience with the little filter at the mouth of the fuel feed into the carb. For the quadrajet it was a cg-11 filter about the size of the tip of a finger. Could that have been overlook...

Re: Noise from Chrysler 360 head u shaped hole?
Not an expert and so don't want to make a worthless post. While this board's crowd has some well-informed residents, don't fail to contact the reman outfit from whom you bought the long block. Good luck -- I think you are onto something when you mention a crack or seal. Hope you rsupplier stands beh...

Re: Leaking Fuel tank
That looks like the dreaded Whote Gook that is created by ethanol gas and cannot be burned by any known additive. It's also corrosive. Ditto what Jeff said. Busia is doing the only thing feasible - drain it all and start afresh. If we kept using the boats as we do cars and trucks, there's be little...
