Chrysler LM parts for sale

After building 3 LM318s in the last year, and setting aside the spare parts I want to keep, I have a large pile of LM parts that I would like to part with. Please ask if you are looking for something. I know I have a set of 4 swivel risers. All of the parts pertain to early, raw water cooled engines...

Re: Exhaust Leak

If you are getting smoke in your bilge, I would suspect (unless your engine runs rich) that you have a valve cover leaking oil onto the un-cooled section of the exhaust manifold. I have seen this on a lot of engines that no longer have the factory valve cover bolts in them. Especially the chrysler b...

Re: blower vents

Because of the depth of my project, she is getting all new blowers, hoses and most of the wiring replaced. I just can't find a vent that looks right without being too big, sharp on the toes, or ridiculously expensive. I hate the location of them, but I have to limit the extent of certain projects.

blower vents

My original plastic vent scoops are just about shot. I have checked with all my suppliers and don't see anything I like to replace them. What have others used? I don't like the location of them, but at this point I am not going to bust out the welder, yet.

Re: Take a Breather

My engines have edelbrock marine carbs on them. They do not come with a vacuum port for the pcv. However, in the back of the throttle body, there is a spot for the port to be installed. I just finnish drilling the hole, run a 1/8 npt tap in and install a 1/8 mnpt to 3/8 m hose barb fitting and away ...

Re: CNC props?

13x9 with a .080 cup and 3 blades. These were tested on a 32 marinette (don't remember the year) and out performed the 14" 3 blade that was factory. I don't remember the pitch of the old props. They are now my spares and are in the boat. I want to say 14x11.

Re: CNC props?

They are listed as Nibral, which is like bronze but softer, more springy, and easily welded and repaired. These are the same type of props you see on newer ski boats and high speed cruisers. My boat easily hits 33mph (gps) @ around 3900 rpm, and cruises good at about 21 mph @ between 2700 and 2900 r...

CNC props?

My "project" that I picked up last summer needed some major help, but that is a story for another day. One of the issues was the props. The had been butchered (repaired) many times, cut down and welded, etc. Basically, not worth doing anything with them them except hanging on a wall. After...

Re: Re:1984 crusader Question for FastJeff

Being a crusader/GM engine, your pump should have a double sided foot with two bolts through the bottom to remove it. Only the chrysler bolted through the front. It seems like I did one of these years back and decided to remove the exhaust manifold to access the pump. Being the V6 there is only 4 bo...
