Re: over heating

Seems I remember Fastjeff mentioning that overheating might be caused by blocked passages in the exhaust manifold. Only recourse was to pull them and "rodding them out". Cleaned out the scale and blockages. Have you taken an infrared shot of differing parts of the exhaust system? Spikes in...

Re: What prop puller to purchase/ reccomendation for prop shop nearest to se ohio

I picked up a 3 size set of pullers from Harbor Freight. The biggest one in the set enabled me to pull the props from my 32'. http://www.harborfreight.com/three-jaw-puller-set-3-pc-69105.html As to a prop shop in your area, can't offer any advice. In SW Ohio, I recommend Delta Propellor - Address: 1...

Re: fridge removal?

Another way to ventilate behind the fridge is to mount a computer high volume 12v fan at the vent cutout. It'd take a bit of wire running but the draw is minimal. The volume's sufficient for good air exchange. I've installed one between the hallway to the front berth and the head. Keeps the humidity...

Re: Hatch Seal

Years ago the hatch on our 32' started to leak. I went to Lowes and got a circular foam seal which I applied with aquarium silicone sealant. Has worked great since.

Re: Choosing a paint color

I seem to remember on the old site there was a discussion on topside paint. White (or "white-ish") seemed to be the consensus. Anyone remember/know/recommend a color close to the factory color and what topside paint manufacturer they'd recommend. I'm planning (operative word there.... :rol...

Show us! Show us!!

And if needed, I worked in a funeral home back when I was a junior / senior in high school so if anyone "dies", I got it covered!

Re: 37 - 41 without flybridge

Another thing about having a flybridge is the redundancy of systems (steering, throttle, shift, gauges). A few years back we were headed out on our yearly trip down river. I'd worked on the upper station's steering system (rebuild due to leaking) prior to heading out on our trip. Even though I'd fol...

Re: 37 - 41 without flybridge

All the 41's I've seen have come with a flybridge. They seem to look more 'classic' cruiser that way.
(but then again, I'm a dreamer. ;) )
