Welded 3/16" new bottom on the whole hull. Holes can be patched too if you find a good welder.

Re: Understanding the CAPAC
Wow! $500 for the meter! Yes, this is just a little electrical cell " battery" you are making with the hull and sensor, with the water as the electrolyte. Go to boatzincs.com to read and learn all about this. Best prices and service when you want to buy anodes. They have a test electrode f...

Re: Broken steering cable
Thanks Busia. At last a tiny ray of hope! What is Steermaster? Is my cable a Steermaster cable? I assumed the M0646 meant "Morse." Which Teleflex cable worked for you? In the online pictures, the Teleflex cable has a small eye on the rudder end. How do I get from that to the 1/2" dia...

Broken steering cable
I had to do the same. I also replaced Steermaster with Teleflex. It was the fastest cheapest way to go. Had to make an adapter for the cable end but now parts are available (they use them on outboards) and I can replace the whole system for $200.But I only have one helm.

Re: Twin Screw Engine Rotation...
Same transmission, just set up to turn which ever way you want. Some of the accessories on the front of the Crusader engine spin the same way even if the engine rotates the other way. They do this by having an extra idler pully and a longer serpentine belt. It wraps around so it goes around the othe...

What's in a Boat's Name?
Anybody know where Hamtramack Michigan is? I was born there, and I named my boat for my Dad's Mother. Hamtramack was all Polish, and Busia is the Polish for Grandmother, which is what I always knew her as when I was little. She deserved to have a good boat named after her.

The starter motors are different, and the serpentine fan belts are different. I have the factory man...

He is full of crap. Totally full of crap. Just do it like the factory did, and I would find somebody else to do it.
