Re: Stumped - Fuel Delivery Issue
Thanks for the feedback. The brand new fuel pump was tested and it’s definitely bad after 3 hours of use. With the new fuel pump, I’m wondering if running the carb dry and also replacing f the fuel / water filter (and having that dry) is too much air for the pump to overcome to achieve a good prime....

Re: Stumped - Fuel Delivery Issue
Definitely not a shutoff, but the pump may be installed wrong.

Stumped - Fuel Delivery Issue
I am most definitely stumped. Here are the facts: The anti-siphon check valve is good and working properly. I am able to easily manually pull fuel from suction hose just before it goes into the fuel pump. I have no fuel being delivered past the fuel pump. The final fuel canister filter was replaced ...

Oil Consumption
I realize that no oil consumption is normal. My Stbd 318 consumed about 1.5 quarts after 12 hours of running. I know the previous owner only ran this boat twice a year at most and that was at 2000 rpm or less. What’s the worst case / best case for this motor? I plan to check compression soon, but I’...

Re: Fuel System Restoration: Tanks to Carbs...
Does anyone have a photo of what the anti siphon / check valve looks like? It seems they have a history of being problematic, but I’m not sure which part of the fuel system this is.

Re: Source for Aluminum tracks for windows
I’d be interested in the plastic tracks if the aluminum ones are nowhere to be found. I’m not sure if Mr. Althouse is still selling them. Most of those posts are from 2016 or earlier.

Re: Replacement Windows
Perfect. I’ll track down some aluminum tracks and I’ll arrange for some polyglide too. Thanks for the help.

Re: Replacement Windows
It looks like the poly glide that was listed on eBay is gone now. I remember reading the guy’s post a while back saying he was going to sell out and get out of that business. I don’t know how necessary the poly glide is?

Replacement Windows
I’m considering replacing the sliding windows and tracks in our 32 sedan Flybridge. Are there any recommendations for a glass guy anywhere near Port Clinton OH?

Re: 318 ignition system
No, no vacuum advance. It’s the marine version. On the carb, the secondaries open at WOT, but I was curious if there was enough air flow to overcome the counterweights on the secondary air flap. Edelbrock says it shouldn’t be a problem. I’m leaning more towards the timing being too retarded. The ini...
