Re: swim platform covering
Hey Wayne, this maybe a tad bit late but I have a custom cut piece of rubber backed carpet on mine. It has a border around it and has been cut out for the ladder as well. Looks nice, isn't hot, and it's non skid. Also removable for cleaning running down river ect. Just throwing that out there as an ...

Re: 318 ignition system
Hey sorry guys I never payed an update to this. Johno I went with the ignitor 2 coils. Both my distributors dropped right in with no issues. The only problem I had , and thanks to Carl for the suggestion, which Carl if you're reading this I'm still going to get by one of these days. But the issue wa...

Re: 318 ignition system
Skipper3, I read somewhere, someone recently had that same problem. Could have been you maybe not sure. I spoke with a tech guy with Pertronix on that and told him about the recent "non drop in". I asked if it was possible if someone could have bought a "new" unit but it was mill...

Re: 318 ignition system
I appreciate all the responses guys. Harryb I have also considered adding the hei module as well. However after looking into everything and cost I pulled the trigger on the Pertronixs system as my distributors needed replacement as well. I ordered through Summit and was able to get in on the last da...

Re: 318 ignition system
Well that settles it. I didn't even spend 150 for the plug wires on my street/strip car and there was 9000.00 in that motor alone!

Re: 318 ignition system
Good point on the CG approval. I didn't look or even ask when I spoke to one of their reps. The DUI does have good reviews and they are a marine specific unit. I appreciate the feed back. I'm still kicking around thoughts on these but I will look into the CG rating as well. If not rated that be the ...

318 ignition system
Asking for your thoughts on distributor upgrades for my 318s. Currently I am running the original ignition system. The distributors are electronic though. I am considering going with either Pertronix Flame Thrower II or the D.U.I. Hei set up. I have read mixed reviews on the Pertronix, although olde...

Re: Splash Curtains
Ok guys yep good plan. Wasn't really thinking when I did that. As I stated I am new to the site so it'll take me a bit to figure the ins and outs of the site however that won't happen again.
