Oops :roll: Me Bad. :oops:
I should have said the easy access to the flywheel and some times the timing mark was under the rubber flapper on top of the bell housing. :o

Have you tried using a large screwdriver on the flywheel teeth? ;) Try moving it both ways. You will get a lot of leverage at that point and it's a little easier than laying on your side.

BigM I have found over the years that the large bolt holding the oil filter bracket to the engine has a tendancy to losen over time. 32' Fisherman with new rebuilt motors. :o From the pictures it does not look like there was a lot of welding going on. :o It would surely need a good Marinette surveyor to look at it first. :) If I was just 20 years younger and a billionaire. :idea:

BigM This is the wiring diagram for the 4 pin ECM. It shows the ballast resister is only used for the coil. Pin #3 is not used. On the 5 pin ECM pin #3 is feed from the 5.0 ohm side of the dual ballast resister. On both ECM's Pin #1 is feed from the ignition on side of the ignition switch at full ba...
