Re: Help identifying what this is? Maybe transducer?

Bad (ish) news: Unlikely that the current xducer will work with the Helix thing unless you know what xducer it is and then confirm with Airmar about compatibility. (If you know what device the current xducer was serving, you'd likely know the xducer you have without having to haul) Good news: you al...

Re: Marinette name plate

If you still have the pieces, you are in luck. If you can't scrounge up a full replacement, mount the pieces on something sturdy and mount that to the hull. I do recall that someone here within the last sevl yrs had a plate made up or figured out how to make a replacement themselves. Try a site search

Re: 318 ignition system

Re: Help identifying what this is? Maybe transducer?

Sure looks like a transducer for a depth finder/fish finder. Hate to ask this but have you not looked at this spot under the boat when it's out of the water? Also, I don't think you'll find an "adaptor". If I get your question correctly, are you asking whether you can adapt what is in plac...

Re: 318 ignition system

max out on rpm’s at 2800 at full throttle. I was hoping for an opinion on whether this is likely a timing issue, Or possibly a fuel flow issue. I go with the fuel flow issue and at the risk of sounding like Johnny One Note, check the little secondary filters at the mouth of the carb (if your carb u...

Re: bilge pump switch

There may be a time - goodness knows when or why - you'll need the switch. Can you top it with one of those switch protector things that will serve as a reminder? or paint it? (good work, Carl)

Re: dome lights not working Where is ground buss located?

(sorry - you wrote dome lightS (plural) and I read dome light (singular)). Is it possible that there is one ground wire looping from fixture to fixture that's interrupted somewhere?

Re: dome lights not working Where is ground buss located?

A non-working horn makes the suggestion I'm about to make a bit off base because it's possible the two things are related. But is it possible the fixture itself is faulty somewhere? Meanwhile, try measuring the voltage at the horn to see if the same thing occurs. (by the way, adding some boat info s...

(cheaper elsewhere such as Amazon)

you need a fume (gasoline vapor) detector down below and a CO detector above. Whatever the price they are CHEAP because...you know why
