I have determined that the alternator is junk and the regulator is junk as well... i am thinking of my options but I am leaning toward a one wire alternator system... has any one had any experience in this?

I am using a DVOM meter and I will try that jumping trick next time I'm at the boat. Next weekend. Thanks for the input I will

I am kind of stumped because I have no voltage from the regulator to the alternator, but when I jump the regulator wires i still have no charge. I have verified that i have no resistance in the feed wire from the regulator to the alternator and i have ran a jump wire from power side of regulator str...

I went to Wall-Mart last night and I found that Rotella is cheap, around 13 bucks a gallon. I went ahead and picked some up in SAE 30 (which is what the PO recommended but he used wolfshead SAE 30) ... what im trying to figure out is what grade of oil do some of you rotella guys use in the Chrysler ...

Jeff, do you use rotella deisel oil? That stuff allready has zinc in it. I'm worried that a additive will be too much with the oil...
