I towed a 26' M with my F150 on a dual axle steel trailer over 100 miles on the highway and 2 lane back roads. It cleared low hanging wires. I think the trailer weighed more than the boat. I didn't get any permits. It was smooth towing. I would look into the difference of a dual axle vs a tri axle.

Thanks Joel, that's just an extra step I do besides the antifreeze. I've not used a bubbler. Also I shrink wrap with an access door to keep the snow out. We are off the Ohio River, 1 mile up the Little Miami. I've seen a few boats go down that didn't winterize correctly. http://www.pierce3d.com/BadD...

If you're leaving it in the water, blow air into the thru hulls to make air pockets or bubbles, then shut off the thru hull. More peace of mind. Thru hulls won't split from freezing.
