Re: Winterizing Chrysler engines on the hard
Hello Bill, This is first winter for our 28 footer. Have mixed advice from marina about leaving it in the slip vs pulling it out and storing on trailer. We have about 4 feet water under boat this time of year in marina and I think algae growth might be accelerated because of that. I like the idea of...

Re: Engine Temperature and exhaust.
Hello all, I am trying to get the right type of thermostat to install in my 1974 LM318/w Warner outdrive. I ordered a bypass style from Marine parts source p/n 367530k 140deg. but does not fit my tstat housing. I have p/n E7093M housing on my engine and I think it goes with a Volvo outdrive combo. I...

Bill, Thanks for the response-yes the primary squirt ears are shooting fuel thru each front throttle bore and I see no fuel coming from rear squirters leaning over motor when linkage opens rear throttle plates. I suspect a poorly performing mechanical fuel pump-i can and will measure fuel pressure a...

Carter AFB no secondaries
Hello all, I have a 74 Marinette with a single 318 Carter 4bbl. Last trip out couldn't get more than 11mph out of it and found secondary throttle plate stuck and not opening. Played with it and got the secondary throttle plate to open at about mid throttle position but no fuel comes with it. Engine ...

Engine Temperature and exhaust.
Hello, I am looking over the shoulder of a new owner of a nice 1974 Marinette 28 Express with a single 318. As found the engine never runs over 100 degrees even at cruise-exhaust is loud at the helm/smells a little rich-not a lot of steam from the exhaust while underway. Could I install a 180+ degre...
