For Sale 1988 Marinette 32' w/ Fly Bridge
Rosie B12 is regrettably for sale. Health issues (mine) require sale. Boat is running great with 900 hours on Chrysler 316's. New Westerbeke Genset in 2012 and new Dometic A/C & heat in 2013. Boat is now in the water in Cincinnati at Rivertowne Marina. My photos are too large for this forum, but...

Re: Muffler
Thanks Jeff and Norm .... so, I take it that the mechanic's theory is plausible. Great photos Norm! That's what mine look like - at least on the outside. Good tip on the pre-replacement exploration. I have a young grand-nephew who needs to get a little "greasy," if you know what I mean. I'...

Muffler
Lads, thanks for all the great advise on my prior post about Engine Noise and Odor. Now my trusty boat mechanic tells me that he believes my exhaust noise and backed-up fumes are likely coming from a "collapsed baffle or two in the muffler." He has confirmed that the engine is running grea...

Re: Exhaust odor and noise
Thanks, Jeff. "Mickey Mouse" is exactly the right term for those gaskets. I'm going to give your idea a whirl ... as much as I can still whirl... and will update you in the next couple of weeks. Happy aluminum boating! BILL

Re: Exhaust odor and noise
P.S. Exactly which section of the hose? From the strainer to the pump?

Re: Exhaust odor and noise
Back again, Lads, and there's "trouble in River City." I purchased and installed a new Sherwood G7B raw water pump only to find that my previous "exhaust noise/fumes" problem is unchanged. The engine seems to be running just fine and throwing lots of water out the exhaust pipe on...

Re: Exhaust odor and noise
Thanks a million lads! I'll tear it apart today and see what's up. Hopefully just a chewed-up impeller. BILL

Exhaust odor and noise
Okay lads, here's my next "dumb" question. Both 1988 318's running great. BUT, last night I noticed more than usual engine noise from port engine exhaust outlet at stern. ALSO, lots of exhaust & gasoline odor in well deck while running on river at 2000 rpm. So ... where exactly do I be...

Re: 1988 Chrysler 318 Temp Sending Unit
Thank you gentlemen. Mine is a dual station. I took the sending unit to NAPA and Smyth and AutoZone etc etc. They all seem baffled, though a couple sold me the units only to discover the thread size was wrong. I also tried cleaning and that didn't seem to work. I'm now wondering if there isn't a sho...
