Why didn't you use an original style breaker?

Airpax breakers seem to work well.

Loosen the belt, remove the whole Sherwood pump assembly. Replace the impeller while off the motor. Install the assembly back on the motor. Line up and start the upper and lower bolts before you tighten any of them. Replacing the impeller in place is tougher and takes longer. Remember your direction...

Gaskets can be bought at most auto parts stores, for a truck engine , same year as the boat. They still leak, even doubled up. The fix is a grommet with a new breather for the grommet. Bending the wings is helpful also. Look at Mancini racing for the grommet style. They are a bit pricey - there othe...

Harry is correct. The CW crank has the knurling at the main seal opposite of CCW to push the oil in the proper direction. Other than that, they are the same.

Eric , I paid $1450 at Washington Marine here in Cincinnati in Jan 2020 for a starboard rebuild. They are a certified repair shop for Velvet Drives. Seems a little high , but it is Florida. I would always do a complete rebuild , with the costs that near each other.
