Below is a list of some of the persons who made this site a reality or who lent time and love to keeping our boats alive.
Lost forum friends and members Bill Knight who started the Marinette forum on Delphi gave a lot to the site. Al Kirkpatrick (DebAl) (courtesy of Marnier2) Al Kilpatrick known as (Deb-Al), passed away in the summer of 2002 from Lou Gehrig's Disease. Al was planing to retire from Ford Motor Co. that year and dedicate himself to the forum web site (http://forums.delphiforums.com/marinette). An engineer with a wealth of knowledge about Marinettes, engine's and mechanics, his life cut short. He had a burial at sea. A funeral procession of around twenty boats took his ashes to the bay where they were poured into the water at one of his favorite spots.
Some Original Marinette Owners club commodores like Lou Sauer, will also be recognized.
Aluminum Cruisers and Flying City friends
Living special members and friends.
Site members John Althouse No mention of the honored friends should not include John whose dedication to Marinettes and his company (www.marinette.com) keeps many boats alive. Fast Jeff |
